We’re excited to announce that memberships are now available and our Camellia & Ambassador members have access to the course now and have the following amenities available to them:

Until the clubhouse opens, Clover, Camellia and Ambassador plans will be 60% of total monthly dues. Additionally, only 50% of the initiation fee will be due on signing. The second 50% will be due once the clubhouse opens. 

Plans for the clubhouse, pool, tennis, and pickleball are proceeding well (renderings can be seen in our membership brochure). 

To create a strong club with a sustainable, healthy membership, everyone will need to apply to become a member. Here’s how the process works:

3. Membership tours/meetings scheduled
4. Applicant vetting process
5. Invitation to join extended, member acceptance, and payment
6. You’re officially a member…See you on the golf course!

We are offering 3 membership plans: Clover, Camellia, and Ambassador.

CLOVER

​​Our Clover plan offers exceptional value, including golf on the beautifully redesigned Clover Course, a 9-hole experience that’s perfect for all skill levels. Along with this, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of our clubhouse and a range of recreation amenities, including the pool, pickleball, tennis, Trackman Range, Trackman bays, and PuttView 10. While this plan does not include play on the Camellia Course, it offers an outstanding club experience for those looking to enjoy a comprehensive range of club privileges.

CAMELLIA

Camellia has all of the benefits of the Clover plan, but allows members to play the newly designed and renovated 18-hole Camellia Course. 

Cost: Monthly dues are 60% of list price until the clubhouse opens. Only 50% of the initiation fee is due at signing. The remaining balance is due once the clubhouse opens.

AMBASSADOR

Ambassador has all the benefits of Camellia, but gives members exclusive benefits of speed and convenience including priority booking, last-minute booking, premium merchandise, and first access to tournaments and events. 

Cost: Monthly dues are 60% of list price until the clubhouse opens. Only 50% of the initiation fee is due at signing. The remaining balance is due once the clubhouse opens.

We’ve simplified the Membership levels. We now have only 3 plans – Clover, Camellia, and Ambassador. Pricing can be found in our membership brochure which is available by request. 

There are no F&B minimums.

After the opening of the clubhouse, we expect annual price increases to monthly membership dues to help offset rising costs so we can maintain a high level of service.

Here’s a rough schedule based on estimates from our architect and construction partners:

• Camellia Golf Course – Open now!

• Clubhouse – Summer 2026
• Pool area – Pool, Pickleball, Tennis, Bocce – Summer 2026

If you’d like to start using those amenities now, we ask that you begin your Clover membership (pay the initiation and dues). Because the full amenity package will not be available yet, Clover dues will be at 60%, as well as just 50% of the initiation fee until the clubhouse opens.

The Killearn Country Club & Inn, built in 1967, was designed around an 18-hole championship golf course. The club was the centerpiece of Killearn Estates, a suburban development that was the first of its kind in Tallahassee. The club became a social hotspot for many of Tallahassee’s influential citizens and a sporting destination for the country’s best golfers. The club has hosted 21 PGA, four LPGA tournaments and many other professional events. From 1969 to 1982, the Club was home to the PGA’s Tallahassee Open, later the Centel Classic (’83-’89). Legendary golfers Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Chi-Chi Rodriquez and other top golfers played in these tournaments.

In 2014, the club’s then-owner made a controversial decision to close the North Course (Narrows) and sell part of the property to a residential developer. Club members and Killearn residents objected and began a multi-year battle to preserve the golf course. The residential development never materialized, and in 2020 a group of club members incorporated as Killearn Golf Properties and raised private funds to buy the club. These new owners set out to repair aging facilities and stabilize the club’s finances. In 2022, Killearn Golf Properties sold the club to Tallahassee native David Cummings, who is committed to the project and the community. Cummings is leading the plan to restore the club, renovate the 18-hole Championship Course and practice facilities, along with an all-new clubhouse, restaurant, pool, tennis courts, and charming cottages for overnight stays, among other upscale amenities. In 2023, the renovation team announced that Killearn Country Club will become Killearn Club.

Our goal was to simplify the membership offerings. Upon purchasing the club there were over 30+ membership plans. The new pricing is simple and straightforward. This leads to easy decision making for prospective members and for operational efficiencies for the Killearn Club team.

Second, we believe each of our three membership levels provide exceptional value – even if only one individual will be using it. Thus, you can think about it this way – all our plans are individual plans where families get an even better deal. 

Families are crucial to the long term success of Killearn Club – fostering a vibrant, engaged community and ensuring stability.

Membership dues are billed monthly on the last day of the month for the subsequent month. If you prefer, you can also pay your annual dues in one lump sum.

When paying monthly dues or annual payments via credit card, there is a 3% processing fee. We encourage members to pay via ACH, which does not have processing fees.

Yes, Killearn Club has a dress code. Here are some guidelines:

• Collared Shirts: Men are usually required to wear collared shirts, such as polo shirts or button-downs. Women can wear collared shirts or golf-specific tops.
• Pants and Shorts: For men and women, shorts should be of a respectable length. Women may also wear skirts or skorts. 
• Footwear: Please wear golf shoes with soft spikes or athletic shoes. Please refrain from wearing metal spikes.
• Hats and Caps: Hats are allowed, but should be worn in a forward-facing manner.
• Avoid Denim and Casual Wear: Denim, cargo shorts, t-shirts, and other casual wear are generally not acceptable on the course.

No. We encourage members to drive their golf carts to the club, but only Killearn Club carts may be used on the property and the golf course. There will be parking areas available for your golf cart. 

There is a $25 cart fee for use on the Camellia course.

On September 21, 2022 the Tallahassee City Commission approved our request to restore Open Space zoning on more than 260 acres of club property. The decision protects the golf course and overall character of the neighborhood.

The commission also approved a clarification of the city’s land use plan that allows us to explore adding a small group of cottages for visiting players and guests of club members to enjoy.
